I'm a 25 yr single girl moving 2 Syracuse, NY from Fl, help me!
Hi!
I am moving to syracuse for work around the middle of november, I really wanna know what to expect! I come from miami, where the sun its always on n the party too lol, i would like to move where the city fun is like downtown (its my 1st guest) but please help me i would like to know wat places are actually hip to live w,o being unsafe also, what can i expect as far the people goes, i have friends in NYC but noone in syracuse unfortunately, would i be lonely? or is there young ppl around?, also i'm looking to rent so i would like like one bedroom apartment where i can park and be safe at nite w.o losing the city's action, so please any recommendations where to look i would be thankful forever....

I would check Armory Square in downtown syracuse - Downtown Syracuse

The first thing u have to expect in November is SNOW and lots of SNOW. It sucks in here. There is no good nightlife, Nothing to do. Good luck, I give u 3 months.

lol hatessyracuse you need to chill out....
There's definitely a night life, esp if you live downtown. Many graduate students and young professional live there!

hey another question : what zip codes can I look for that are in armory square or kool area of downtown where i do not have to be car bound?? lik if i wanna go to the shopping mall or the restaurants in downtown i can do it by walking not driving... thank u !!

You can only get to the main shopping mall here by car/bus. Downtown is a pretty small area - i don't know the actual zip codes - but look up armory square and you'll see - it's a just a small section of downtown. In armory square you don't have to drive they have really nice restaurants, bars, multiple boutiques/stores, museums, and a library.
I know multiple people who moved here from south florida - I assure you, you will be fine. The weather isnt that terrible!
