The Magicians Eye is on a distinguished road
Default Weather Update????

Ok people I haven't been on here in a little while. Things over here in Arizona have been pretty bad money wise and as I result I have a question for you about weather.

I'm about to approach come 2010 sponsors for my company and if I land them this will force me to stay in Arizona until late November rather than moving in July like I wanted to. The Sponsor money is a pretty big deal at this point so I wanted to know how bad the weather is in late November. Would it be a bad idea to drive my family and our things over there at that time of year? How often are you guys getting snow on the ground in November on a typical year? I can see that the price of homes drops quite a bit this time of year too. This could be a perk if the move isn't a nightmare in November.

Let me know what your honest advice is about this. Should I do my best to move in the summer or should I give November a shot? If I have to move in the summer I will ether need to hold out until 2011 or work that into the deal with my local sponsors. The problem is that I'm going to be asking them for a bunch of money and I'm pretty sure they will want me to stay here if they give it to me.

So what do you think? You guys live there so be 100% honest. Keep in mind I’m moving from Arizona but I’m no stranger to the cold. I just don’t want to run into any snow issues like roads being closed or just flat out unsafe to travel conditions. Also does the airport have any issues in the winter time? Do they normally avoid weather delays or should I expect that if I fly up there in the winter to shop for homes?

Thank you for your help.

November usually doesn't see much more than light snow, so you should be fine. If it was pushing you into January/February, then there'd be reason for concern.

We're rather good at snow removal here. After the Blizzard of '93, our airport was back up and running (though hard to get to) within a few hours of getting 4' of snow... of course, the only other airport in the northeast open was JFK on a limited basis
