A friend of mine has a iPad he never used and offered to sell it to me for $200. It's only 16gb. I kind of always wanted one because it's so small I could be in bed and just use it for stupid things like pick up email, play farmville, surf the internet.

Would it be worth the $200 or should i just get a netbook instead?

If he is a true friend, I would take it.

Just get a netbook. An ipad is basically just 4 iphones glued together - not really worth it.

For $200, you could always make a few bucks off it if you didn't like it.

lol so true!

I think I will go for it. I know the limitations but I don't want it for gaming or anything. I have an iPhone and it's just too tiny for me to want to surf the web or anything on it. That's why I liked the iPad, I could toss it in my purse and use it when I am out or before bed while watching TV chatting online and picking up email.

That is the funniest explanation of an iPad I have heard in awhile...

You obviously haven't used one.

For an internet/email device only tablets are really cool. iPad or otherwise.

For $200, an iPad will blow away any netbook you could get. Sounds like a deal, and if you don't like it, you could easily sell it again for $200.
