I have to ask...why the major price differential with tablets. They range $100 - $1000+. I'm in the market for a tablet, never had one before, don't know much about them. I would like to spend no more than $250. Whats the big difference in all these?

I just really want to watch netflix, read e-books and play Plants vs Zombies. Any recommendations?

If that's all you want to do you can get a Kindle fire or Nexus 7 for $200, and possibly other some other tablets for lower then that.
More expensive tablets are for those who maybe want to get "work" done on their tablets and need a little bit more power, storage.

Personally I think anything over $500 is too much for a tablet. I got the Nexus 7 I'm pretty happy with it. I can get some lite work done on it, and most games run great.

For the mere price of more than a thousand, you too can replace your desktop with a portable device with a small screen. They've been making those for years. They're called notebooks. They also to happen to have better battery life, be more reasonably priced, and not need a not of accessories to make them useful.

I got a 32gb Nexus 7 for $250 about a month ago. I've been very happy with it.

Got the 8gb when it was first released. It gets the job done.
Itunes definitely has better content, a lot of BS is on the play store.
