Calling all Nook HD+ owners.......is this device worth the money ?

What gripes , or missing features, do you have with it if you own one?

Would you buy another Nook HD+ or recommend it to others??

How good is B&N phone tech support if you have a problem?

Would it take a killer deal to get you to buy one?

Buy a Nook tablet, get a free e-reader

As far as the "Branded Tablets" go, Nook has always been the one to get IMO (versus the Kindle).
Expandable memory is huge.

The negative is that the product line is being phased out. Might impact support in the future.

On the other hand, if you're comfortable installing software on it yourself, it's a decent piece of hardware for a great price.

I have not heard that the Nook HD is being phased out.
Link?

Also, the other big advantage of Nook is the recently added Google Play Store.

Only news I can find. Can't even find a rumor of it being "phased out".

I have the first generation which is only touch screen at the bottom, but looking at the video reviews of HD and HD+ it looks great especially for the price it's being sold at right now. However, you should be aware that the Nooks don't have cameras so they won't be able to Skype or take pictures; I know for some that's a deal breaker.

I don't have either a Nook or a Kindle, but I think I've read somewhere that they don't come with access to the Google Play store. Instead, my understanding is that they have their own app stores with a much smaller selection of apps and content.
