Terrible article, no offense.
First, every one of those things I knew I could do.
Second, a few of those things require more then an iPad.
Third, several of those any tablet can do.

Well, Peregrine, many of us are not as knowledgeable as are you.
I, for one, am glad to find that article because I'm thinking about getting an iPad.

From your depth of knowledge, could you tell us if there is any other tablet than
the iPad which can do all 12 things?

All of those things can be done on Android tablets depending on which keyboard and interface customization apps you have.

Exactly. Any tablet can do all that stuff EXCEPT for the 4 finger swipes. That is patented by Apple.

Nothing wrong with the article, since it's not comparing the iPad to any other table, but offering a free lesson to those who use the iPad. While one can learn how to use the iPad by reading the instructions at "apple.com," the shortcuts told about in the article are quite useful and save a lot of learning time to iPad users who may not know about these features.

I stand by that. It's a terrible article.

#12: Read Comic Books....
Seriously?!?!?

This is written MUCH better and is way more informative and doesn't require 13 clicks to get through it.
