Is this a Kindle issue or a TV issue? I do not know where to start.
Thanks in advance!

This is frustrating.

I just saw an ad for a device that cost about $40 and it plugs into the HDMI port of a TV. It allows wireless transmission of that signal. I think it was Newegg. I'll do some snooping.

Edit: I don't think this is the one I saw, but it does the same thing. And I'm not certain it will do what you want, but I thought I should mention it.

Was it the new Chromecast?

Chromecast

All sold out everywhere. Not sure it would work with the Kindle though, since it's not pure Android (I haven't done too much research on it though).

I got the cable - how do I configure the TV? Turn the cable off? Choose a different channel? Sorry to be so dense
