Hi, I'm looking for any advice you can give on how best to get a Verizon Tab2 online. I only need minimal data for work purposes (GPS data) and want to avoid a long contract.

My phones are with TMobile. I had to buy a Verizon Tab2 because it was specified at work. So my options are get online with Verizon, or get it unlocked (seems to be difficult) and get it online with TMobile.

Getting online with Verizon would be straight forward enough, but I really don't want an expensive 2 year contract because I won't be needing it for two years. Frustrating! I hate the fact my workplace doesn't provide this stuff and I have to buy it, but that's life I guess.

So does anyone know which best contract to go for? Or what my options are?

Many thanks!

Verizon gives me 2GB a month for $20, and that is month to month, no long term contract, and automatically hitting my credit card each month.

If you bring your own tablet, VZW does not require a contract. They only require a contract when you buy a subsidized device from them. As Mike said, you can go month to month. Although you need a VZW compatible tablet. Not sure yours is.
