Ok I've been playing one of my favorite PC games on my Fire HDX. It's a Sim Adventure game where you have loads of quests[over 200] to do.It's single player and the Kindle app store has both parts 1&2.

Amazon.com: The Island: Castaway® Free: Appstore for Android

Amazon.com: The Island: Castaway® 2: Appstore for Android

I will gladly be buying both as I paid $6.99[each] from Big Fish Games for my PC versions.

I also got~ but haven't yet tried the hidden object/ mystery /horror game Stray Souls: Dollhouse Story

or the days free app from the Kindle app store ...The Lost Ship

or a freebie I picked up...Random Mahjong

I downloaded Word Hero and installed it but haven't had a chance to play it yet. I'll check it out later or tomorrow. I used to play the game "Words with Friends" but the people I was playing with don't play anymore.

Yep, my daughter told me how those FB games are so disappointing because she doesn't even have that many friends who are game players, or they will only play a few times,so it is a let-down when you like a game, but cannot play.

No such hassles with the games I play, because I will not even DL a game where you need a social membership or have to pay cash for items to advance.

Yea but MOST games allow you to player with random people. If you really like a game, why not???
Hmmm... maybe eGeek and Autumn should play WWF (Word With Friends)?
I'm such a problem solver.

Ahhh but there is a huge difference between 'allowing' something and 'requiring' something.

I have no intention of ever belonging to FB,so certainly won't join, because it is a 'requirement' of a game to pester as many people as you can!

Huh?!?
#Confused

In Words With Friends (the smartphone/tablet app, not the Facebook version of the game), as in ALL the tablet\phone apps, there is no mandatory pestering.
No mandatory Facebook joining.

Oh sorry, I thought there is only one version of 'Words With Friends' which my daughter [who IS on FB] told me to avoid.

Doesn't sound like the type of Solo play I prefer~http://www.amazon.com/Zynga-Game-Net...ds+kindle+fire

Sounds like it doesn't work, anyway according to all the 1-2 star reviews.
