My 8yr old got a Kurio 7 for her birthday in May. (off craigslist). It was working fine. No issues at all. Then we go to turn it on tonight and nothing. No attempt at powering on. Even charging it didnt make a difference. Tried a factory reset- nothing. Tried soft reset- nothing. Finally contacted customer support through chat and they walked me through a few steps, when none of them worked they are RMA the tablet. Ive never done an RMA, so what am I looking at for possible costs, time and is it even worth it or am i better off getting a new tablet?

I dont mind paying for repairs (or if you have a suggestion im not thinking of).

An RMA at worst should only cost shipping if it's under warranty. If it's not, I wouldn't invest any real money into repairing it. What are they, like $70 new?

RMA went through and Kurio is sending the tablet back next week. Not sure what was wrong but hopefully they say.

Thumbs down Yet another bites the dust!

RMAing Kurio that the thread was originally about. Had it since July and its lagging, saying there isnt enough space, wont hold charge.

SO far Kurio4 is 100x better but they dont have an "upgrade" option.

----------
Well we will NOT be RMAing it- they want $60 replacement fee + Shipping. For that I can buy a BRAND NEW Kurio4 and actually save money since they are on sale for around $40+.

We will just deal with this one until we buy her a brand new one.

1st Kurio7- $70 off CL
RMA it- Shipping costs ~$10 or so
--- $80
RMA 2nd one $60+shipping $10= $70

total for Kurio: $150 and for that I can get her the new Kurio Phone or even Extreme!

I will support because 1) they didnt have to replace the 1st one, after all it was used on CL. 2) Their Kurio4 seems to be 10x better. 3) I cant find a tablet that has such good parental controls and we are rather strict.

http://www.amazon.com/Fire-Edition-D...s=Fire+HD+Kids

2 Year Warranty. If it breaks for ANY reason... you could run over it with your car AND TELL THEM THAT... they replace it for free.
