I have this iLive soundbar (model ITB174B) which I operate via bluetooth to my iPad. I noticed that after playing for a while my iPad "pauses" and I have to press "play" again (but the bluetooth connection is still intact). The time varies widely but can be 15 minutes up to three or four hours but it typically stops playing within an hour. I have the iPad like two feet away from the soundbar so Im not sure what is causing the interruption. BTW, it happens when I stream live music or play from my iTunes library. Any idea what is causing this??

According to what I've researched, it stops due to non interaction. Its little brain thinks you went to sleep and to conserve power it stop streaming. It probably does the same thing over a longer interval when its stand alone. Its a power saver feature.

It pauses in different interval times because it thinks it hit the end of an album. It just takes a few seconds of dead silence to do so.

Keep in mind that one of the top reasons people spend premium dollars for a Apple is the length of time one can use it before needing to charge it. Thus Apple devices have certain devices built in to do so. My iPad lasts at about 3x longer than my Samsung tab 3 when I stream movies. Three hours in, the iPad will pause and the Tab will be nearly dead.

Ok thanks.
I wonder if there is any way to circumvent that?

Default iPad still stops playing.

Well I figured out it is NOT my bluetooth speaker as I did a direct line-in from my iPad to the speaker and it still does the same thing.. stops playing. I can maybe understand the stoppage on a rare occasion if the music is loading but even if that is the case, it never starts playing again.
I tried to reset the auto-sleep mode as the link describes but to no avail.
