Going to a funeral on the weekend and would like to have some sentimental music during parts of the service, problem is theres no electrical outlets graveside so my sister suggested playing a few songs on her Galaxie android tablet, problem is she doesnt know how to download just music with no videos, she wants the tablet to basically play like an old tape machine, hit the button and out comes her downloaded songs..
Make any instructions simple as we are both new to tablets.

Thanks for any help

Jambo, I don't know for sure ('cause I know only about Apple products...) but there's probably a music playing app such as iTunes or an equivalent already on the tablet. You'd need to download the music you want from an online site to the tablet.

Next, as you want it for outdoors, you'll need to get a portable stereo speaker which would be attached by usb or perhaps get a Blutooth enabled speaker. The speakers on any tablet are not going to be powerful enough to reach the audible level needed for outdoors for a crowd of any size.

I think it's doable, though. I'll send a DM to a friend of mine who would have the ability to respond with stronger, more specific info for you.

A little impatient Jambo? You can't always expect an answer the same day.

Harry was just making a joke. Lighten up.

Anyway:
You pretty much nailed it already, Macrina.
Although this goes deeper then that. The OP doesn't know how to get music ON to his\her tablet.

Do you have this music on CD's? Or in some other digital format?
If not you should probably just purchase what you need from Google Play.

Then, as Macrina said, you need something like this:

Sounds easy but the OP is new to tablets. Might not be so easy for them.

Find a 14 year old and have them do it for you.

another suggestion.
If you are playing music for an area larger than a small room, almost all tablet's speakers will sound weak.

Get some battery powered speakers. wired or Bluetooth.

Like this $15 unit from Best Buy
