Hey guys, I have a question for the tech nerds..

I'm thinking about buying a tablet and stylus for better organization in my note taking at the ballpark (amateur baseball scout).

I'm looking for tablet and App recommendations that work off line? Also will any random tablet and pen do the job or should I look for Samsung or Apple for their pen integration?

Hoping to keep the cost under $300, I'm not looking to replace my daily phone or laptop. This is strictly for the ball park. And I expect it will take a beating. Thanks.

I like the 3 pack of spiral notebooks at Staples.

Personally I prefer my fountain pen but the old Bic clear plastic pens are the best value-for-money there is, and you won't care if you lose it.

Non-volatile memory, baby!

$300 is not enough to do this well on a tablet. It's going to be $500 minimum to do it WELL.

Turf's totally unhelpful post reminded me of a product I got for free from a vendor though that might actually do enough of what you want.

Ever heard of Livescribe?
https://www.livescribe.com/en-us/smartpen/
Everything you write in the notebook will synch to your phone or tablet.
It's pretty neat actually.

You can get this new IPad for $280 on Amazon:

https://www.amazon.com/Apple-iPad-Wi...-1-spons&psc=1

. .and then get an Apple pencil (read the first review) and that might work for you.

Thanks for the suggestions, I ended up going with a Samsung, Chromebook Plus. I've had it for about 24 hrs, pretty happy so far. I thought it offered the most bang for the buck. A 12", 2 in 1, with an S-pen. For $399. 2nd gen model.
