Default Small inexpensive 3 BR in Tallahassee

Is there such a thing in Tallahassee? I am a retiree on limited income but have a semi-handicapped son and two dogs (one large) living with me, so don't want a senior development. Are there any small 12-1,300 sq. ft houses there around $100,000 mark, or are they all pretty much in bad areas in this price range?

I am looking on the internet on Realtor.com but can't tell what kind of area I'm looking at. Any zip codes for such houses? Much appreciated.

You might consider looking at townhouse developments, although if your large dog is really large, that might be a problem. My experience with Craigslist makes me very wary of using it to find a place to live. I'd suggest contacting a good Realtor (I am not a Realtor, btw) and spelling out your requirements. Realtors know what's available and can tell you if what you're looking for is realistic.

Try the Westover neighborhood. There are currently houses for sale in your price range and it is a safe neighborhood. The backyards are small though.

I think that will be tough but not impossible. In today's market with patience and persistence I think you could find the right property for you at that price point.
