I do enjoy the nightlife and I just wanted to know, are the bars/clubs in Tallahassee still crowded in the summertime? Are there summertime parties? Is there any vibrancy to the city in the daytime during the summer months? Is Tallahassee like a real city with things going on all year or is it pretty much just a place for college students to do college things?

Everything in Tallahassee is "less crowded" during the summer or any other time when college students are out of town. I'm long out of school so my partying days are over. However, I would refer you to the other posters in the know about the area. There are some hidden gems in Tallahassee but you certainly have to know where to look.

If you're under 21, it'll be boring. If you're 21+ the bars that you usually go to will be just about the same as they always are.

But. honestly what makes Tallahassee so great is the beauty of the city, the great local food. The amazing parks and greenways, and rivers and lakes nearby for great outdoor recreation.

I spent a night in the middle of the summer a couple of years ago. While it wasn't super-crowded, there was still plenty of fun to be had.
