Yeah, but if you use a dead bulb it blocks the leakage.

Well, I just received my first bill, not sure if its bad, but sure *seems* reasonable compared to others. We have a 2000 sq foot house, have ac running at 79 with a fan running in whatever room we move to. Our first bill was only for 19 days but was only 80 dollars. That seems like not all that much compared to what other people have been saying here in this thread. Did I just luck out in finding a good insulated house? The water bill was only for 11 days though, but that was only 12 dollars.

Holy cow, that is really cheap! I need to find one of those houses. I guess you did luck out.

I could also be good at saving electricity? I doubt that though since the tv is on most of the day in the background and i always have my laptop plugged in. *shrug* Maybe the fact we keep it at 79 also helps too.

I don't know.... maybe a combination. I set the air in the low 80's, don't watch much tv, and my bill last time was $297, up by about $100 from the month before. I have a 1900 sq foot home.

holy crap! That's a ton! I wonder if the amount of people also factor in, we only have 2 in our house. I cant imagine that it would affect the electricity that much though.
