What kind of home can I get for 150,000-200,000 in the Tampa area in a good area? I am hoping I can get a 3 bedroom for this price in a good area without an HOA fee. If this isn't possible, any surrouding area's that are?

Not very likely.

240k if you look hard, maybe. I don't think there is any American city that one can buy anything nice for < 250k.

Lakeland seems pretty cheap. But I am unfamiliar with this city/town, and do not know the commute to Tampa. Anyone know about Lakeland and the commute to Tampa?

House4Sale: Yes, that house is really nice, and pretty cheap!

Default Thanks for looking, Josh2020.

Even the lot was prime as we shopped for months before we settled on it. Unlike some lots that builders offer that are small or w/out a nice view or location. No fill required here. A bit high and dry.

Default Lakeland-Lake Wales is nice but would be a few hour drive 2 Tampa.

Not sure the next biggest town near LL/LW.

Best wishes finding the perfect home for you and those you love!

I live 45 minutes north of Tampa airport.
Lakeland is east of Tampa and it takes me no more than an hour and 20 minutes to get there from where I am.
There is no way it is a few hour drive from Lakeland to Tampa.

Default Then I'm way off.

I was thinking Lakeland is near Lake Wales and that's at least a two hour drive. Do I have the wrong Lakeland?

Lakeland is about halfway between Tampa and Lake Wales but Lakeland is right off I4 so you can shoot straight into Tampa.
Lake Wales to Lakeland you are on county roads most of the way.

Default Seminole Heights area

Hi. I live in Seminole Heights area, which is just a few miles north of downtown Tampa. It's the historic distric which offers great secrets without HOA fees. That's what drew me in too. I have a 3/1....possibly for sale.
$210, 000.00. It's a corner lot, backyard big enough for an inground pool if you have an itch to swim. Great neighbors, and once you turn off Nebraska, it's a well kept little secret. Takes maybe 10 min. to get downtown, and it's centrally located. I love it here, hate to sell it, but life takes you other places. Let me know if you're interested.
