Hi all,
I'm getting married in the Tampa area this fall and we are doing a beach wedding. I am familiar with some of the beaches in the area but I'm trying to decide which beach to use. We are having an extremely small ceremony with only a few guests. We really just want a beautiful location that isn't too crazy. We are doing it on a Thursday evening at sunset in October.

Out of the following beaches which would be the best for a wedding:
Clearwater Beach
Sand Key
St Petersburg Beach
Pass a Grille
Treasure Island
Sunset Beach
Indian Rocks
Madeira Beach
Honeymoon Island

I went to a small wedding on St Pete beach a few years back at a small hotel called Hotel Isis. I loved it and wished I had done the same type of wedding. http://www.isisbeachhotel.com/ It was awesome. Good luck with yours, wishing you lots of happiness!

I was married a few years ago on Sand Key, as the sun set. Our wedding photos are just fantastic and I am still very happy with the choice. I recommend it to any couple who wants a casual wedding at a beautiful, free venue. And who don't mind probably sharing their special day with many other wedding parties with the same idea. Feel free to DM me if you want some more details.

Honeymoon Island is just beautiful and I have been to several weddings there when I lived there . I no longer live there , but I have been to several beaches on that side and I would say the nicest were definately honeymoon island and the name is kind of befitting a wedding dont you think ? Good luck and congrats .

There is a charge for the honeymoon Island weddings.. However, there's also facilities for your guests, and yourself. When staying on Madiera Beach several years ago, we watched a wedding.. No cost for the location... but as mentioned before, you get to share your happy day with anyone walking past.

The happy couple & their family was staying at the hotel next to the beach. From some grumbling later in the day, I'd guess the wedding started later than planned. If your family is tardy... this might be the way to go.. you don't have another wedding bumping up against yours. When everyone arrived, they walked to the beach, and had the wedding.

Here's the link to Honeymoon Island (it's a state park).

My aunt got married at Sunset Beach and it was wonderful. They did it in October and the pavillion there they rented was perfect. Here are some pictures of that place.
