Maybe smoking something? Calling me "little man" must mean something is smoking.

I have to give the Pasco Sheriff's office a huge shout out for making Pasco County a much better area than it already was by picking up so many felons with outstanding warrants and going after some young people who think they are smarter than hard working people and think they can make fast money without working by selling drugs to teenagers.

I give them a big thanks also. They have cleaned out Westport as the crime reports are down a good 60% from last year. I do smoke cigars sometimes.

That means that the area has a great turn around and with investors having bought up many of the empty homes thy area will do much better like we have seen else where.

We had a few rotten apples in our community and they made it seem like the issues were bigger then they were...after the parents homes were foreclosed on and these kids kicked out of school and moved away they now probably are causing trouble else where but in our community we were happy to have most issues solved. Of course there is always someone new who think they can start over and sell Molly's or something else as I reading the paper but the sheriff's office arrested the person after an undercover deal which I applaud the cops for!

Always interesting to see new members who make their first post as replies in threads from many years ago. Have to work to find such stale threads....

At least two home sellers in this thread are no longer posting anymore that i know of. Just skim their post over and notice the pretty pic they paint of a area they don't even live in and the fight others when they say drugs or crime are a prob.

After five years here, my wife and I are very happy.

To be fair, CD encourages users to post in old threads. If you look at an old thread, this message appears at the bottom after the last post.

Crime and drugs are a problem, but that's a problem almost anywhere else I've been. My old hood full of $350K to $1M+ houses in PA is becoming a hotbed for meth and opioid activity. Like many places, certain neighborhoods are better than others. I won't deny there's a problem, but IMO other places are worse.

I travel extensively for work, all the way out to Lakeland and all the way down to Ft. Myers. I've spotted syringes and other drug paraphernalia in parking lots in NPR, St. Pete, Tampa. I've been hassled by pandhandlers, and so forth. The stuff is all over.
