Anyone tried any of the little Mexican restaurants/taco stands in Wimauma, FL?
On State Highway 674 in Wimauma, FL there are a bunch of small Mexican restaurants and taco stands. Has anyone tried any of these? I'd like to hear some reviews of some of these places.

Bought three fajitas the other day. Tasted okay - $4 for the three. Not sure if it was dog, cat, or cow. Didn't get sick afterwards. Not sure of their hygiene or public health inspections. Did it for the "cultural experience' to integrate with the Mexican people that I live close to in the area - none of them spoke english.

Do you remember the name of the place? I'm not so concerned about the health inspection part if I know I'm getting good authentic mexican food.

The one at Parsons and 60 in Brandon is excellent and the one at the Plant City flea market is too... someone mentioned the stands you are talking about the other day and said they were very good.

I've always wanted to try those, but Wimauma is a bit of a drive for me when I'm really hungry.

Over the years I have had taco's and burrito's from several of the stands around Wimauma and Ruskin and have loved them.

What about within the Tampa city limits? Where is the best place to find taco stands in Tampa, and are there any in South Tampa?

I tried one once in Plant City. It was next to a gas station. I spent a week on the bowl after that.
