I will take the Ray fans over those Philly fans. The last incident where a family was "thrown up" on was just disgusting.
Stuart Sternberg never said he would leave the Tampa Bay area if he didn't get a new stadium. I don't know why people keep assuming that. I watched the entire press conference and he said he would sell the team.

Tampa has horrible fans in general who only show up if teams are winning. You'll see the USF or Bucs bandwagon in full swing until they lose a couple games.

that doesn't answer the OP's question - since the Rays have the best or near best record in mlb - and the fans AREN'T showing up.

Sure it does. Tampa fans are bandwagon no matter what sport or team. People in the area care even less about the Rays compared to others. If they were in Tampa you'd have a lot more bandwagon fans coming.

So if they were bandwagon fans, why the low attendance now with a top record in baseball? Doesn't jive with what you posted.

Bandwagon fans boost attendance from what the norm would be. It just so happens that the normal for the Rays is horrible. It's not about selling out, it's about having more fans only when you win which is what is happening.

I don't even show up if they're winning. Matter of fact I don't even tune them in on TV. Moderator cut: flamming

it's clear that you don't enjoy baseball - sports isn't for everyone.

the Ray's weekend series had the best TV ratings in the Tampa Bay area than any other TV show - so there are a lot of people who disagree w/ you, thankfully.

Its not bandwagon, its fair weather, get it right Truth is, there is a lot more to do in Tampa Bay than going to watch your team lose. I am not bandwagon jumper. I support our team when they win of lose. But I usually don't care to spend money to watch them lose. Its not that I am a horrible fan, I just have a life outside of my favorite sports teams.
