We have friends and family in Reno. I have been looking for positions in Reno-can't get anyone to call me back....I am a physician so this is not so good for Reno given my understanding of the shortage. My area of specialty is not academically represented in Reno.... but we love the area. I need sunshine. I love being close to Cali without the stress. But the cost of living is pretty formidable.

Tampa has a great position. Cost of housing is still less than Reno. Job is exciting. Dont know if the quality of living is better or not. Great University which is larger I think than UNR....

What do you all think?

I think quality of living is better when you have a good job - seems like a no-brainer.
