Not good for kids because it is VERY crowded... Alot of people go there to club and Party and when I went it was so crowded you could barley move!! I think its best to watch on the beach unless you plan on watching from afar in channelside.... THat would be okay

Default Can you see the Clearwater fireworks in Sand Key?

Hi all,
I was wondering if you can see the Clearwater fireworks from Sand Key beach or the intercoastal side? Or should we just take the trolley down to Clearwater beach? I saw the sign stating the Clearwater Causeway is closed from 9-10pm on the 4th - is that where they launch the fireworks?

Channelside is very nice. I think it would be good for kids, but a bit crowded maybe.

St. Pete downtown is nice too.
For fewer crowds you can park near North Shore Beach in one of 2 parking lots on North Shore drive around 12th avenue and sit on the grass or the little beach area for a good view. Lots of families hang out there. Bring chairs as it'll probably be wet after the drenchings.

Cheryl, fireworks will be launched from Coachman Park at the Memorial Causeway. If you're in Sand Key, stay put. There will be lots going on and you'll have a front row seat from the Shoppes at Sand Key. Another great place to watch fireworks is at the Belleair Bridge. Take a blanket or a chair and enjoy!

I've never seen fireworks in this area, but the last time I went to EG Simmons Park's beach area in Ruskin I had a view of downtown St. Petersburg and downtown Tampa.

I suspect that this would be a nice spot to watch fireworks assuming that you are there to camp for the night.
