Hi all,

I know zip about St. Pete, but am considering relocating for work. There seem to be mixed reviews on here about what commute times are like, but most are general in nature, and I'm hoping that you all can give me some specific information. I'm considering taking a job that is located off Roosevelt just south of the 275 bridge. I'd love a sub-20 minute commute, but would be ok with 40 minutes. Can someone give me a run down of commute times to Roosevelt/275 from Old NE, Downtown St. Pete, Pinellas Park, Seminole, Largo, St. Pete Beach, Madeira Beach, Belleair and/or Clearwater? I know a lot of these towns/neighborhoods are dissimilar, but right now I'm just trying to get a good sense for how long it takes to get around.

Thanks!

For consistent 20 minutes or less your options would be Pinellas Park, SE Clearwater (Feather Sound for example), Largo (East Bay and East Ulmerton) and the Gateway area of St Pete. For the rest you're probably looking at 30-40 minutes with the exception perhaps of Old NE which might just exceed the 20 minute threshold on a consistent basis.

It sounds like pretty much the whole peninsula nearly to Clearwater would be within a 30-40 minute drive, which is great news.

i live in south st. pete and I can drive to roosevelt/275 within 30 minutes in the morning by taking 275N. the closer your house is to the exit off 275 is key. I thinkOld NE can be within 25 minutes, Downtown St. Pete can be 20 min commute simply because the interstate runs right there, Pinellas Park is more of a local driving and 20 minutes to get to the southern mart of Pinellas park.
