Is it normal in US banks to have a minimum balance requirement of $25,000 and if the client falls below this then there is a monthly charge of $25 ???

25,000 dollars. Holy crap. No its not normal. My 16 year old sister has an account and there is no way that she has 25,000 dollars in it. I would suggest Chase.
