Are there bridge tolls between Pinellas and Tampa? 275? Gandy? Courtney Campbell? All of the above? What are the fees?

Thanks!

They're all free. The only toll bridges are the Skyway (to Bradenton), the Bayway (St. Pete Beach from 275), and the Fort Desoto Bridge (to Fort Desoto).

I have tried them all and can agree.

The usual fees are around 75 cents to a dollar.

Where i live, we have a bridge simular to the sunshine skyway bridge. About the same length, it costs around 60-70 dollar in each direction.

I'm pretty sure the Bayway is fifty cents and the Skyway is a dollar. $60-70 is something else though! And I thought it was ridiculous when I learned that some of the NY-NJ bridges cost around $10.

The bridge onto Prince Edward Island, Canada is $42.50. Ridiculous!

Check for yourself.

The price is in euros but it is easy to calculate

Tolls around Chicago are ridiculous as well. It put a bitter taste in our mouth when we had to pull off and wait in long lines to pay expensive tolls every few miles. Ugh.

Tampa Bay is great in the sense it has very few tolls and most can be avoided by choosing to live in the correct place. Veterans Expressway and Selmon Expressway are the only 2 toll roads, both can be avoided, for the most part. I have paid to go on both for convenience, Veterans can begin to get spendy if you head up to Spring Hills.

Going south on 275 to Bredenton (hysi) on the Skyway Bridge will cost you a buck each way (went on it for the first time this weekend....pretty drive). If you want to go to Miami go down 275 and take Alligator Alley across. Its well worth the $2.50. From what I understand the East Coast of Florida has many, many, more toll roads.

Outside of Orlando and Miami, there's really only the Turnpike, but the Turnpike is well worth the price; it's practically the Florida Autobahn. I'm sure some of the bridges to the barrier islands have nominal tolls as well.

Cool Bridge to PEI is NOT comparable to Sunshine bridge!

Actually $42.50 is not 'ridiculous' at all for that bridge, considering that...
1. The charge (it's actually $44.50 now) is return, not 1 way
2. Pedestrians (no car) can opt for a shuttle services that's $4.50 return
3. It's long (10 minute drive) and the only alternative is a FERRY
4. The area is not populous - there are probably 1/1000th as many people travelling that bridge to 'spread the costs' over
