I like Clearwater BEach the way it is. Wish they had a basketball court near by but other than that it's the best beach over there ( I look forward to crowds and development, thats how a beach best suites me) so it's fine, and I know plenty of other people here in Orlando that are fine with it. Know peope in the Bay area too thats fine with Clearwater beach itself.

and OMG Leave Treasure Island alone. It's BEAUTIFUL!!!!! So Peaceful Man!

What has modern development done for Treasure Island? A giant two-level Publix that seems absurdly out of place in a beach environment.
Where is that publix on treasure island?

Dont you like for example "south beach" or "clearwater" at all?

Treasure island could be the hippest place on the east west west coast (east coast of america but west coast of florida and west coast of st petersburg.)

I'm definitely going to visit Treasure Island this weekend, while it's still empty and you can enjoy the beach, you know sand, sun and water. I was looking for natural beach, thanks for the tip

Why don't you just go to South Beach? Than you will be happy with the place you are without wanting to change it to suit YOUR needs! Or maybe Atlantic City or Coney Island? Or you could go to Malibu or San Diego. Just GO AWAY!! People with your Great Ideas have already done enough damage here. Can't you tell from the responses you are getting? Or is YOUR agenda just that much more Important than all of us who were here first? I am beginning to think "Troll"

I am going back to my idea of leaving every beach alone.

Any building that gets torn down has to be replaced with a new like version of the same building. No higher, no wider etc.

We need to stop any new building from going up on all the Florida beaches. They need to be left alone as is and only updated or changed with like style, size and type of buildings.

No more high rises, condos etc on the beaches. We already have enough for everyone on the beach.

I'm going to have disagree of this one. Some people need their concrete walkway full of kiosks with tshirt and hot dog vendors, hotels with pools 20yards away from the water, and i'd say let them have that. Have 1-2 beaches like that and keep others natural for the folks who appreciate sand, water and sun.

South beach - Too expensive for me
Atlantic City & Coney Island - Too cold in the winter
Malibu - I think also too expensive for me
San Diego - I dont speak spanish

Nothing is so good it cant be done better, so is the beaches of the coastline. If i had the money to buy real estate and develope it, i would. Because i have very interesting ideas for the beaches
