I agree with you and you raise a good point. Yes, what this kid did was horrible, but you aren't just born "evil." A person's socioeconomic status is a huge predictor in the life choices they will make. I'm sure I'd have a different view on life if I had grown up in the projects, as opposed to an affluent, well-education, safe area.

It's sad that there isn't more money designated to curbing these potential problems before they turn into real problems. The system is inherently broken and things like this will always happen until we fix the root problems.
