This Dentist is a multi-millionaire, you think he cares about money. Why did you think he laughed, when the cops asked him if he had financial trouble. He did it for the thrill of it. The dentist is not taking money from the poor guy in a sense, since it's stolen, and the bank would have taken the loss and written it off. I don't condone stealing credit cards, since it would tarnish anybody's record, but I could care less if the banks loss money.
Your defense of him that's OK and did it for a thrill is bull crap. If it was a homeless guy or some addict who did this, you would be shouting lock him up.

Why do we give him a pass beacuse he is a multi-millionaire (I actuall doubt that. He may have multi-million asset but equally in debt too)? If he doesn't care about the $40 bucks as you say, how about the easiest and laziest way of paying cash that he has in his pocket and throw in a tip on top of that. It takes more time to use the stolen platic card actually.

If you are defending him, you probably don't mind doing that yourself and that is very scary..

You can tell the dentist does not have a financial motive behind this. He is worth $3-4 million in assets, unless he owns a a couple of multi-million dollar homes, I doubt he has debts, with him being 54 and a dentist. He even had $250 in his pocket. If he was homeless person that's a different story all together and a big if, so I am not going to go there.

You can see that the dentist did it for the thrill, he wanted to see if he could get away with using someone else credit card. The dentist didn't know he was picking up a credit card that belonged to some poor vet, he just saw a credit card. Of all things he could of used the credit card on, he used it to buy PIZZAS. He could have oblivious have paid with $250 he had in his wallet. He lives a boring life, he wanted excitement, and now he's got it.

As I said before, I don't condone stealing credit cards, since it would tarnish anybody's record, but I could care less if the banks loss money. Please do not reduce this to name calling MeInDenudlinFL. I work for a global financial firm, so I would not jeopardize my entire career for a mere $40.00.
