I live in Sarasota Co. and my water in MA too was about $30 a month but averaging about $100 a month here, I did notice that I get hit will $30 in charges even if I didn't use any water. There is nothing cheap here anymore.

We moved from Richmond to Tampa and our water bill went from $50 to $100 (and we got free reclaimed water for irrigation in Tampa). I thought that was outrageous, but we moved to NC last year and now our water bill is close to $200/month when we use our sprinkler system (for a .25 acre lot).

YIKES!!!

I have family in Atlanta area and Salt Lake City Area - neither one is SURROUNDED BY WATER or has a HURRICANE SEASON - and their water bills are like $25-35/ mo for 2000-2700 sq ft houses with 3+ people living there!!!!

But GET THIS - my electric bill for June was $400!!!!!!!!!! (My fault - adult kids just moved back in- parties on the lanai and stupid mommy left the door open too often!!)
