No, "Trump Tower" is still a vacant lot. This is off of Tampa St near 275.

Yes, the government always has everyone's best interests in mind.

You do not work in Downtown Tampa if you think it is full of beggars and leechers. The vast majority of Downtown Tampa is void of that sort of person; the only areas you'll find them is on Skid Row (Franklin north of 275), around the Salvation Army headquarters (again, north of 275), and occasionally around the HARTline bus terminal.

I walk through what they call gaslight park (between franklin/tampa st/kennedy and madison) about every day and there are always tons of bums hanging out panhandling, sleeping on the benches. You find them sleeping/living in that underhang at the police dept building near where the Quizno's that just closed was, you see them sleeping on the side of the Exchange bank building.

If you dont think there are bums all over downtown, you are either ignorant or not looking. Yea, it's worse up by the Salvation Army because they FEED and HOUSE them there.

That stretch of sidewalk by the TPD HQ, by the closed Quizno's...that's like Bum City. I always felt bad for the guy that opened that Quizno's up.

I have sympathy for homeless people. I don't have sympathy for bums. Those guys that sleep on the sidewalk all day, like above...that kind of stuff really hurts any plans for a vibrant, livable downtown.

No ****, what does it say about a Police Department that does nothing about ****ing bums just living there and sleeping/panhandling/being vagrants all day and night.

Unfortunately for me, if I want to walk from my office to any decent places to eat, it takes my right by this cesspool and through "bum alley".

I am guessing ferrett111 is one of those people that park inside their building, never leaves it and drives into downtown on some route other than ashley/tampa st, Jackson, Morgan or Pierce
