Would you suggest any and why do you like the restaurant?

We are looking more for a fine dining experience with a romantic atmosphere.

Ivarones Steakhouse & Italian Grill - Iavarone's Steakhouse - Home
^We love it because it's excellent food with a romantic atmosphere. I had vanilla bean scallops that melted in my mouth and tasted so wonderful, I haven't had them prepared better since!

Boizao Brazilian Steakhouse - Boizão – More than a Steakhouse. A dining experience like no other.
^Depending on where you sit this could remove some of the romantic factor, but eating there is sure fun and entertaining in a relaxed atmosphere for certain.

Bern's Steakhouse - Bern's Steak House > Home
^The most upscale of the three with the world's largest selection of wine, definitely with that romantic atmosphere you're looking for.

Hehe, can you tell we like steak? lol

Sadly Tampa bay doesn't have all that much in the way of fine dining. Get in your car and drive to orlando and have the best meal of your life at Victoria & Albert's.

Oh yes, if you want to make the drive, I second this as well.

WOW I thought the pic with the the babe drinking the martini at Ivarones was my wife 25 years ago or my daughter today. Had to do a double take to make sure it wasn't either one.

Depends what you mean by romantic, but if you like quiet atmosphere and good food, L'Eden in downtown Tampa is nice.

My favorite restaurant for dates is CDB's Southside on Westshore in Tampa. Bella's on Howard is also good but a bit noisier.

The Palm (great seafood and dinner for two deals), Grill One Sixteen (small, quiet, very good food), Donatello (excellent Italian and service), Shula's and Charley's Steakhouse (for big meat eaters - sit near the fish tank at Charley's), Toasted Pheasant (has "date night" specials and live entertainment on Fridays), Armani's and Oystercatchers (good for seafood and sunsets over old Tampa Bay... I'd skip Armani's dinner and just have drinks and appetizers in the piano bar but be watchful with the organic wine - you could spend a fortune!). You could also try The Melting Pot (the high-back booths are very private). It's not on my list of favorites but some seem to enjoy cooking their own food and then paying to do so. :-)

Please write up a review after your romantic night out.

If you want to avoid Tampa... Bon Appetite and Black Pearl both in Dunedin are really nice. For Bon Appetite you get an awesome view so reserve a table for two near windows about a half hour before sundown!

Bon Appetite is the only restaurant that I refuse to return to. I am a forgiving person and always give businesses a second chance when I have a bad experience somewhere. However, at this restaurant, I had such a horrible experience there that I refuse to return. I wouldn't even go back if it was free.
