Sorry, but no. If I knew of one, I would send my husband over there right now!

What do you do? Have you tried Executive Recruiting Agencies like RSI? Or specialized Staffing Companies like Kforce? I know of PLENTY of people in teh area that all make over six figures.(IT, Health Care, Financial Services, Real Estate, Sales industries)

Depends on what you do....I just want you to know that the cost of living is not as high as some other cities. You can get a fantastic home for under 400,000 and a really nice one for 300,000. Where do you live now? I have lived here all my life, am a Realtor and my husband is a design engineer and makes good money but it just doesn't cost that much to live here. If you give more info, maybe we can help you a bit more

Depends on what industry you're in. A friend of mine is a sales engineer, he's been looking for work for quite a while now. He made $130K-$150K with National Semiconductor, but here he's been offered positions paying half that.

I don't know if it's across the board, but when we moved down here in 1996 from the upper Midwest, professional salaries were about 70% of what we made up north. That's in technical managerial and IT.

"Oh, but look at the money you'll save in clothing and utilities."

Don't fall into that trap. Between that and the "sun and fun" aspect that gets pitched, employers try to deflect any suggestion that salaries are lower here. Don't buy it - it's been my experience that they are.
