Looking at houses in these two communities. Heard some mixed reviews about South Pointe..Does anyone have furthur info/advice??

Also looking at a house in covington park in apollo beach. Seems like its not too bad..

Just moved here last year into the summerfield community and have had quite a few problems in our neighborhood within the year. Seems like we might have moved into a bad pocket with a lot of foreclosures and empty houses where we are... Lots of bad stuff seems to be going on and it seems to be getting worse...

Default Covington

We live in Covington. There are "good" areas and also "bad" areas.

Which section are you thinking of moving into?

I also live in Covington - on the "affordable housing" block in Oxford. And despite our air-headedness of leaving our garage door open (at least once a month) and our car unlocked (and door ajar) we've either been REALLY lucky or it's just plain safe. Cause i have had no complaints of safety/crime.

We did have a scam - which involved free capet cleaning and 4 houses were robbed in one week - all who let someone in for a free cleaning - all who had safes in their homes! But that's ...well other than some smashed pumpkins one year... that's really all the crime I've heard of and I'm on the neighborhood watch email list. We have proactive leadership with our HOA and stuff.. .they're good.

I love it here.

Plus, Doby is the best school in the area!!

We're also considering living in the Covington area of Apollo Beach. How is the commute going into downtown at around 7:30am?

Just one man's opinion but I would avoid the Covington area. Crime is a serious issue there.

Looking to rent on Hampshire Garden Place in Covington Park. Does anyone have any info on the block I know its a no through street. We are moving back from NY and would love a heads up if the block is rough or if its manageable?

Sincerely,

Prestine home keepers looking for some insight before June

That is complete B.S. Check the Hillsborough Crime statistics or check with your sheriff and you'll find that Covington Park has one of the lowest crime rates in the county!
