I miss all those little places in Tampa that have them, can't find anywhere down here that sell them.

I had to bring some up to North Carolina last December. Apparently they're unheard of up there. What a depressing place!

You MUST try the Spanish bean soup, which they serve with buttered cuban bread, and the stuffed potatoes. Unbelievable!!!

Tampa really does have some of the best "cheap but delicious" Spanish and Cuban food. Dang, I miss those places........

Oh man, Brocato's. That brings back some mouth-watering memories!
My very first Cuban sandwich was from Brocato's, and very few subsequent Cubans have ever lived up to it. There is a very good reason that the line at Brocato's is out the door. I've seen grown men fighting over a leftover Palomilla sandwich
.
Although I must say, I think the deviled crabs (but not the sandwiches) are better at Carmine's in Ybor.
