Anyone have a recommendation? If not, how about a primary care physician who is knowledgeable/comfortable treating diabetes and thyroid disorders without referring to a specialist?

Dr. Henry (right on the edge of brandon) is a fantastic endocrinologist. His wait to get in is a little ridiculous at times (currently about a 4 week wait), but he is a fantastic doctor.

I retract my recommendation.

Just saw him for a follow up visit and even though my TSH is still way high (6.0), he bumped my meds and said see you in 6 months. Uh no. That's not cool. I also asked if he could add a blood test for celiacs on my prescription for my follow up appointment and said i was "chasing" something that wasnt there. I'm not a fan of docs who wont listen to their patients so I'm now on a hunt for a new doc. I dont care that he's 5 minutes from my house, i'd rather drive 45 minutes into Tampa to see someone who WILL listen to my concerns and not write me off.

As someone with hypothyroidism and Hashimoto disease, going 6 months while my TSH is still WAY high is absolutely unacceptable.
