Hello everyone I might be taking a job offer and the comapny is located in pinellas park, fl. I am not familiar with the area and im not sure where to live. I defrinitley want to be in a main city: Tampa, st. petersburg or clear water.

I am married no kids and dont want to spend more than 2k on rent. I definitley want a high rise type condo. I dont want my commute to work to be too bad or too long. Can someone start to lead me in the right direction?

You could live in either downtown Tampa (channelside) or downtown St. Pete and have a reasonable commute. I doubt you would have a problem finding a condo in either area in your price range. I think St. Pete is nicer, there are a lot of restaurants and stuff to do within walking distance.

There are bad parts of Tampa and St. Pete. The downtown area of St. Pete is nice. I think Tampa has the better skyline, but St. Pete's isn't bad. Tampa has more office buildings while St. Pete has more high rise condos.

That's great info, I do like the idea of being more residential than office buildings. I'm going to go next weekend to see for myself. It's a big move and I don't want to have regrets down the line. Thanks for your help!

Check out high rise condos on the Bayshore in Tampa, great view of downtown and the bay. St. Pete condos looks nice and it's fairly good view to the bay too.

Pinellas Park is also known as "trailer park USA".

The whole city is not a bad area. It varies by neighborhood and apartment building, obviously.
