I've got a teenager that wants to learn driving a manual transmission. I'd like to find a desolate road - something like a subdivision that was paved but not built up - to go practice lots of starts and stops. North Pinellas or Pasco preferred, but I'm not picky.

There is a HUGE parking lot with no buildings at the corner of Causeway (Lumsden) and Falkenburg in Brandon. I have seen people use it for driver's training before.

Try the parking lot at Gulf View Mall up in Pasco. There's a few acres of empty parking lot, especially in the back by the Sears and Macy's.

In Pasco, Connerton would be ideal. It's just south of 52 on 41
