Regarding jobs, I have a career as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, what is the job market in terms of the medical field. What hospitals, nursing homes, home health agencies, etc. are located in the area and do they hire on a regular basis. I am doing an assignment in Pensacola from Dec thru mid-March, but am seriously considering permanent relocation to the Tampa/ St Petersburg/ Clearwater area after that. My girlfriend and I are in our early Fifties and originally from Chicago. Comments and suggestions are appreciated.

The job market in Florida (as a whole) is still pretty slow. My wife and I are talking about moving back to the Tampa Bay area some day as well but the job market scares the hell out of us.

We're in the Houston Metro in Texas and the job market has started to slow a bit but it's still worlds better then it is in Florida.

I wish you luck on your journey, I'd love to move back myself.
