Default Dover area?

All,

Greetings! I've searched the message boards for information on Dover and no dice! I've found a property online that I'm interested in buying. However, I'm currently overseas on business and I won't be back to the States for a few months. The property is located near Lake Shore Ranch drive. My main concern is safety. Any information you can provide on this area will be appreciated.

Thanks!

I believe that address is actually in Seffner, which, like Dover, is an unincorporated semi-rural area. Seffner is more suburban than Dover, which is still a largely migrant community. Can't tell you much about crime, but I'm sure it has its share of petty stuff.

It's kinda a roughneck area like most of east Tampa.

I wouldn't even consider it East Tampa. It's like ten miles east of the city line.

WHAT??

Where the heck are you getting your information from?

Can you please post the statistics and even a news article regarding your assertion?

I think this is very irresponsible to just post a blatant statement like this without backing it up. That goes for CHASLS2 and ferret111 as well.

If you don't have first hand knowledge with references; don't post.

I've worked in that area for years. It's just more of a rough neck area, nothing that is too bad. Much worse areas by far. I don't know about gangs around that area.
