ISO: land to lease (Tampa: leasing, camping, live in)

Looking for land to lease in or around the Tampa area. We are a small {growing} family who are looking to lease land and live in a yurt{s}. We prefer some land to garden and grow our own food. We require grid access and a reliable water source--although our long range plans are to utilize solar power. We are community minded and would love to be near others who are, too. Just in the preliminary stages of looking and really interested in finding out if this sort of thing is happening in this area--land leasing--and what the going rates are.

Your problem in most areas of Florida is going to be how your structure is classified. If you go with the mobile structure you may have a hard time getting it registered which would be a requirement.
If you go as permanent structure then meeting building code requirements would be extremely hard.

You could also try and go the camping route and treat the structure as temporary but then getting permits to run electric and drop a well may be tricky. You will probably need to find someone that has the electric and well in place already.

I would say your best bet would be to check craigslist and see what is out there or post what you are looking for.
