Moved here a few years ago and haven't ventured much to look.

I do like a park in Altamonte Springs called "Cranes Roost"

it has a nice walkway around it and a board walk bridge across the water. ducks, etc.
anything like that in this area ?

thanks all.

That's next to the mall in Altamonte!

Well I don't know how far you want to go, but there are plenty of parks in Pinnelas...not the same kind necessarily, that's more of a city park...We liked Wall Springs Park...nice quiet trails. But there's Anderson Park, Howard Park...Ballast Point Park which is off Bayshore blvd...I don't know, we went to all sorts of parks...anyone else?

Probably the closest to New Tampa is Lettuce Lake Park on Fletcher near I-75. It's next to the Hillsborough River. Here's a link to more about the park: Hillsborough County Government Online - Parks - Parkservices (http://www.hillsboroughcounty.org/parks/parkservices/regionalsites.cfm?facilitydetailid=524&regionid=2& image=images/region2.jpg - broken link).

Upper Tampa Bay Park off of Hillsborough Ave has trails and a tiny museum. You are on the bay and there are picnic tables and play area.
