Default Treasure Island Vacation?

Thinking about going to Treasure Island next weekend - anyone have any opinions about the area? Just want some R and R, nice beach, good beach bars and decent hotel

For a one of a kind experience, check out the Treasure Island Drum Circle. It happens every Sunday evening about an hour before sundown. Drummers, shakers, rattlers, didgeridoo players, dancers, hula hoopers of all walks of life and all ages, gather and drum down the sun. Go to the TI Community free parking lot just south of the Thunderbird and Billmar Hotels just accross from the new Publics Grocery Store. You'll find this incredible experience straight down from the parking lot near the shoreline. There's additional free parking behind the bank across the street. But do not park in the bank lot. You'll get towed!
NO GLASS CONTAINERS are permitted! You'll pay a big fine...and it is policed.
The drumming ends at 10 pm.
You do not have to have a drum. If you're so inclined to partake in this awesome experience, bring anything that you can shake, rattle or beat to produce a rhythm. Even a plastic bottle filled with pebbles will do. Bring a chair or something to sit on and drinks or snacks. You can just be a spectator if you wish, or feel free to join in in any way that moves you. Kids love it too!
