We moved here in October from Michigan. Our Family tradition is to drive around seeing Christmas lights.

Does anyone know of any communities that decorate a lot, or even drive thru places? Admission doesn't matter, it doesn't have to be free.
We plan to see Zoo Lights but we are looking for a place to drive around.

Thanks in advance!

I'm looking for some places too. I live in the Brandon area and was wondering if there was some good areas near by. I know about Barrington Oaks off of Lumsden and the area in Dover. I don't want to drive too far so I was wondering if there was anything like around Bell Shoals and that area of town that was good. Thanks.

Used to be Snell Isle in St. Pete, although I haven't been there in years.

Yea, that area, North Shore Dr and Shore Acres was really renowned back in the day for lights, but not so much anymore. In fact, the Rutland Estate in particular on Shore Acres was great. I have no idea if the family even still owns that house.

Hyde Park in South Tampa usually has some pretty impressive lights. Boulevard between Swann and Bayshore is definitely the best block effort in South Tampa.

Country Way in Tampa always has some neat lights. Usually the Tampa Trib list different areas that have good light displays

It is a very nice display.

Go to ChristmasDisplay.org it is free, but I think they ask for donations. It's a HUGE display that you get out and walk around to see everything.

Old North East is good usually
Avoid 15th Ave N on 19th street closed for a local party (locals only)
Fl botanical gardens in Largo, lovely lights, free
Is it me, or are there a lot less lights this year in folks' gardens, or are they just late?
(I know I am!)
There is a subdivision, sorry forgot name, just off 102nd Ave in Seminole, they ask for donations.
Sorry these are all Pinellas, not sure if you are Hills or Pasco/Hernando area.
