I live in Riverview, but had never heard of Tranquility Lakes Apartments, so I Googled it and asked around in an attempt to help you. This complex is off of Progress Blvd and that is a road I have never traveled. Progress Blvd leads to Progress Village, which has some issues, and many people seem to avoid it. It looks like you'll be within a few minutes of I-75 if you live there. The closest little beach is Apollo Beach, which is about 20 minutes away. Although I usually drive about an hour and go to St. Pete Beach or Bradenton because those beaches are more serene and scenic. I know a few people who live at Courtney Palms and they think it might be a better apartment option, but that's just their opinion. Sorry I don't have more info for you.

rivierview has tons of cheap new construction housing complexes. some half built that are attracting transients from the midwest and northeast looking to start over and lower income people from tampa looking to move out of the hood. its not the worst place in the world but not great either. getting congested with poorly thought out rapid growth

Tranquility Lake is a very nice new complex, 1 mile from the interstate, within an hour to many beaches. In my previous post, it is down the street and across the street from some undesirable condo's and Progress Village but that shouldnt be a problem. It's a very ideal location and nice property. You'd have access to bars in Riverview or the Brandon area about 5 minutes away in the Bloomingdale Winthrop shopping center. You're about 15 minutes from downtown Tampa where you'd have more options for hanging out. Tampa Bay is flooded with activities of every kind and you'd be smack dag in the middle of it all. Good Luck.

I'm from the midwest, considering to start over in Riverview. What concerns me is that you said people are moving out of the hood to relocate to Riverview. I would want my son to have a decent education, decent area to live in, and to be able to go play outside our home where parents SUPERVISE and actually PARENT.. or am I just dreaming? I just would not like to relocate and pin my hopes on an area I have to worry about. Currently, I live in a high end part of town, I've lived in many different areas and settings... $$ has no impact on how kids are raised, I have some of the most jerkiest kids around me and I'm no where near the hood.. just hope Riverview is a good crowd I can fit in and the hood is really looking to better themselves. I could live anywhere, but my kids are numero uno and have to think about what's best for them.

This country was founded by people that wanted to start over. Or did all the good ones stay in England.
