Default What's the best mall in the Tampa Bay area?

I've noticed in most metro areas there's usually the "nice mall" and then theres all the others that used to be nice. What's the best and whats the biggest malls in the area?

Wow! Wait'll my granddaughters get a look at these!

The Westfield mall in Toledo is one of their favorite places. It's blown away by these. Even more power to the Florida migration obsession.

Seems the International and Westshore Plaza are pretty close to each other. Traffic must be stupendous.

International Plaza is the "nicest" that I've seen down here and has an excellent outdoor bar/restaurant area attached to the back. A bit pretentious. It seems as if some folks dine there just to be seen and look important as they valet their Jags and BMWs.

Westshore has a lot of "stuff" as in everyday stuff.

I also really like Citrus Park mall... or westfield shoppingtown or whatever stupid name they gave it.

International Plaza has the high end stores: LV, Gucci, Tiffanys etc along with your normal everyday stores: VS, Guess, Aeropostal.

They do have a nice outdoor area with food, nightlife. Best one in my opinion around

Benderson Development is about to build a new mall down here on the Sarasota/Manatee county line called University Town Center. This will also be on the new rowing park site that is being developed. They are supposed to start construction this year, not sure when it will be finished. I know it's not Tampa, but it will be an easy drive, straight shot down I-75. Back during the boom, it was going to be a mega-mall, new-urbanist "lifestyle center," however the recession stalled plans, and now they are going ahead, but it will be smaller, and a more traditional type mall. The area they are building already has a huge cluster of beautiful shopping plazas that are associated with it and the same developer.

International Plaza, I would say...followed by Brandon and then Citrus Park. Westshore is great too but in my opinion, a little small compared to the other 3.

The drive between International and Westshore is maybe 5-10 minutes when it's not a heavy traffic time - straight shot up Westshore Blvd.

International Mall, hands down. Brandon Towne Center just expanded a few years back, so thats a pretty good one too. All the other malls are full of shoe stores and stores that sell xxxxxl size shirts with pictures of rappers and pot plants on them!

Thanks for the replies. Ya'll have a good many of malls and I was looking at their websites earlier and it was hard to get a good read on them. I've been to some malls around the country that I thought would be nice but were actually just hanging on to a past. They were "ghetto".

Can you rank these malls in size (using whatever criteria you feel is appropriate). International Plaza, Citrus Park, Brandon, and Tyrone?
