The humidity is LOWER here?

I can't imagine living in NO for so many reasons, but wow, add another one to the list.

Well, after all NO is a swamp, 8 ft. below sea level. I remember thinking all of Louisiana was hellaciously hot and humid when we visited there - whew!

Lots of good things happen in Tampa after midnight when you consider emergency services are on duty and save lives 24/7.

Its is dangerous here after dark because nobody is out, In S Fla everybodys running around at 11 pm to go out and places are packed, restaurants are busy and still much to do. If your neighborhood is empty of activity- yes stay HOME.

Confirmation bias - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Since nobody writes news articles about people not getting hurt, this is just confirmation bias.

I guess one could argue that bad things also happen during the day as well. You're free to do so. Car wrecks, domestic violence, bank robberies - all happen during the day and not necessarily at night.
