Trinity would be good, but I wouldn't venture anywhere outside of it without going very, very far, possibly to Wesley Chapel or New Tampa.

Holiday is a hole, and New Port Richey isn't much better (I lived with my inlaws in Holiday for a short time while transitioning back down here, and they have lived there since the mid 90s, so I think I can say what I did with complete confidence.)

If you are looking to rent I doubt that you'll find anything in Trinity for that kind of money with the amenities you listed. If budget is an issue, you'll probably have to compromise on the area, and that would put you in Palm Harbor most likely. You really don't want to go into southwestern Pasco County. It's not nice, and you'll also be dealing with the snowbirds, of which there are many in that area.

You're not sick - that's excitement! Treat it like a big adventure as it will be, and be flexible. Moving is not the time you want to be anal about stuff, because there are too many things you won't be able to control. Don't ask me how I know that....

I agree 100% about Holiday, nothing but a drug dealers dream area. Most of NPR is about as bad, and most of Port Richey is even worse than Holiday. Same for Hudson. there are a VERY few nicer areas to live in these areas, but most of it is trashy.

Palm Harbor/East Lake area hands down. You'll never see your husband again if you make him commute from WC to PH....He'll be spending his time driving.

Fly down and see for yourself.

I agree with this, wc is way too far in my opinion. Crystal river is out there no matter where you live but atleast the suncoast (the expressway that goes north/south) is not too far from trinity. so that saves a lot with commute times. I wouldnt do holiday personally, its mostly old people or trash (MOSTLY, not all)

Well so much for not having any stress with all these recommendations. I am getting stressed just watching people type in here. And NO, living in Wesley Chapel will not make you not see your husband. You could live in Orlando and your husband would have less than a 2 hour drive to work!

I'll second Tarpon Springs. It borders Holiday and is MUCH nicer. Ozona and Palm Harbor are nice too, and just a little further south.

I agree with Trinity, or Odessa (Ivy Lake Estates) located behind Super Target on SR 54. We live in this neighborhood and it is great! The schools are wonderful, it is safe, filled with kids and families, and not that bad of a drive to where your husband would need to be.

Also it is close to the Suncoast Parkway (Veteran's Expressway) so you can get to Tampa and shopping quickly. Trinity is building new homes in Evergreen in Trinity located right by a new elementary school, my children go there. Land O' Lakes is also nice in the neighborhoods of Concord Station, Ballentrae and Oaksteak. Also good schools. There are also lots of good preschools close by.

Let me know if I can help with more questions!
