In the First link in post 19 the UP is Michigans upper Peninsula The body of water Lake Superior Where it looks mostly like the pic along much of the lakes southern boundary.Although picturesque that water is very cold.
The pic was taken at Tahquemenon Bay State Park..

To people from the Northeast and Midwest, of course Florida is a paradise. But, if you have ever traveled anywhere relevant such as Hawaii or the Southern California, you will see that the beaches there are just breathtaking with no murcky water and no white trash throwing beer cans and cigarette butts everywhere.

I've been to California beaches, and do not think they are "all that". Of course it depends on which beach. Few beaches there are actually "usable" by anyone, too cold, windy and rocky.

what side are you on Algia- you want them to come but you don't- I love my Miami Beach-and miss the waves, Gulf is pretty- but no waves. Maybe we got off the list because of the BP stuff?
