Update: I found a job with Florida Hospital. I called all the area hospitals and the recruiters were great help with setting up interviews, even by phone. I actually had an HR manager laugh at what I was making in Ohio. I was casual so I knew it would be less money but I actually went down $13/hr!!! No income tax should help. I talked to a few unit managers/HR managers and the pay was pretty standard for Florida.

Plenty of nursing jobs here once you get licensed. It took me 3 months to get mine thru. Many health facilities are hiring more LPNs now. I think for cost saving ( salary reasons) Hospice hires many w/home care experience and the pay is not too bad. Lots of areas to live that are close to but not actually In St Pete.
